Frequently Asked Questions

Who can join a walk?

Everyone is welcome. You do not need a philosophy background or to have read anything in advance; curiosity and a willingness to listen are enough.

Where do you meet?

Please check the individual event listing for the exact meeting point and route.

What if I am late?

Do try to arrive early. We wait a maximum of 15 minutes at the meeting location. Once the walk has left, it will be difficult to find the group and the organiser might not be able to answer messages.

Will the walk go ahead if it rains?

Yes, the walk will go ahead whatever the weather (unless extreme weather conditions!). Please dress appropriately and bring an umbrella if needed.

Can I bring my dog?

Unfortunately, no. Dogs can be distracting during group discussion, so dogs cannot join the walks.

How much does it cost?

The fee is currently £5 per walk. Students, unemployed people, and retired people can attend for free.

How can I pay?

You can pay in cash or by card on the walk, or pay online when booking.
